The Extreme 8000ti handles approximately 2000 cubic ft when cellar is fully insulated andsealed with proper vapor barrier.Eachcellar is unique and has specific cooling requirements so please contact us ifyou need assistance with heat load calculations.If glass walls or glass doors are installedin the cellar, a stronger system is typically recommended.

The Exteme ti Series is intended for through-the-wallinstallations and is visible in the cellar. The controller is mounted in front of the cooling unit.This is a more economical option compared tothe ducted or split cooling unit options since a licensed AC tech is not requiredto install.Common areas these units canvent to garages, outside, mechanic rooms, or any adjacent room that is atleast twice the size of the cellar and has fresh air flow.The area venting out to should not exceed 110degrees.
Note: If this unit will be installed through an exterior wall, you will needto purchase the exterior housing grill to protect the unit.If the unit will be installed through aninterior wall, you can duct the hot air exhaust (condensing side) and redirectto another location.
Insulation We recommend minimum R13 for the walls and R19 in theceiling.The higher the insulation theless the cooling system will have to run.A vapor barrier is required on the warm sideof the cellar before the insulation.If using closed cell spray foam insulation forall walls and ceiling, that also acts as a vapor barrier, so you do not have toinstall the plastic barrier.For more detailed information you can view the video link below on ‘how to prepare your wine cellar’.
