Sourced from the vineyards of Casalin (planted from 1960-1990), Vigneto Alto (planted from 1930-1955), Collina (planted in 2000) and Tenda (planted 1950-1985).
Vigneto Alto – Volanic soil with degrading basaltic elements Casalin – in the North degrading Basalt with some clay, in the South degrading Basalt with some limestone. Collina – Degrading Basalt with clay Tenda – Volcanic Clay.
50% of the grapes for this wine are harvested in September – those are dried for about 3 months. The other 50% are harvested in mid-October and those do not see appassimento.
