Nearly neon in the glass, the 2025 Sancerre Rosé La Louée mixes white cherries with tangerines and nuances of curry leaf to create its enticing bouquet. It splashes across the palate with vivid tart raspberry and lime enveloped by soothingly round textures. Its minerality comes forward through the close, as the 2025 finishes with pinching tension, leaving rosy inner florals to fade. There’s a slight comparison to be made to a Jolly Rancher on the palate, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy it.
Vinified from 100% Pinot Noir of fifteen year old vines. Direct pressing of the grapes and cold settled for 24-48 hours, fermented in stainless steel using indigenous yeast. Aged on the lees in stainless steel and bottled the Spring following harvest. The wine displays a gorgeous cherry hue, red fruit and white blossom aromatics, and a medium-bodied texture on the palate. This dry Rose is the perfect aperitif!
