High Plains Rye

High Plains Rye is a blended whiskey made by Jim Rutledge, the former master distiller at Four Roses. It’s a blend of five straight rye whiskeys from four different American distilleries, including MGP in Indiana and Middle West in Ohio. The whiskey is bottled at 48.5% ABV (97 proof) and has a clear appearance with a clover honey tinge. It has a medium nose with light cinnamon spice and honeysuckle sweetness, and the first sip is mild and astringent. Other notes include allspice, nutmeg, and white pepper
