Dominique Lafon has Burgundy in his blood, and Domaine des Comtes Lafon stands as undoubtedly one of the world’s greatest Chardonnay producers. When Dominique took over from his father — who famously “never worked in the vines” — he insisted on a more hands-on approach, learning to ride a tractor much to the amusement of his more tractor-savvy neighbors, and converting the estate to organic and biodynamic farming.
