J. Bookwalter Winery is built on a legacy of family, agriculture, and a deep connection to the land. For ten generations, the Bookwalter family has been involved in American farming, but it was Jerry Bookwalter who led the family into viticulture.
After earning his degree from UC-Davis in 1963, Jerry spent over a decade farming in California before moving to Washington’s Tri-Cities in 1976. There, he played a key role in developing renowned vineyards like Sagemoor, Bacchus, and Dionysus. As vineyard manager of the esteemed Conner Lee Vineyard, he leveraged his expertise to establish J. Bookwalter Winery in 1982.
Today, the winery continues to craft exceptional wines, honoring a rich heritage of quality and innovation.
Sourced from esteemed vineyards throughout Washington State. Fermented on skins for 7–10 days on average with a combination of stainless steel tank and barrel aging.
