Blackened M81 is a three-way collaboration between Metallica’s James Hetfield, Blackened whiskey’s master distiller, and Drew Estate’s Jonathan Drew. It was made in Esteli, Nicaragua, and the name nods to Metallica’s founding in 1981.
A Toro (6 x 52) in a box of twenty-four, it is maduro through and through. It wears a Mexican San Andres wrapper over Broadleaf and Nicaraguan tobaccos, rich and full-flavored.
